keyboard and mouse

Hello, has anyone ever experienced this? I recently wiped out my hard drive and installed windows 2000. Now everytime i boot up my mouse and keyboard do not work. However, if push my reset button they will work on the reboot. Any ideas???

Are they USB mice and keyboards or PS/2?

Sorry I don't have anything for you. I have seen this in older machines where you had to change BIOS setting but that was some time ago. ?!? :( ?!?
