DNS Error

I just reloaded Win2000 Pro, have dsl, using a ppoe adapter. Connected fine and then after installing Service Pack 2, lost connection and had to reinstall from cd. That is the first prob. Everytime I install an update I have un and reinstall the ppoe adapter. Second issue, I will be connected but cannot open any webpages, "dns error", verified with dsl provider that the dns settings are correct but this is a constant problem. One minute you can view web page but then once you disconnect you get the same error. Extremely annoying and dsl provider doesn't know what to do either. ANY IDEAS?

It can mean a number of different things. The site's server may be unavailable, the address may be typed incorrectly, the connection may have timed out (server did not respond in a preset amount of time). You can check the spelling of the address, or if you're sure of the URL you can go back to it later. Their server may be experiencing technical difficulties.

I think this is your ISPs fault and not anything on your end.
