Red face Modem

I have a motorola sm56 modem on my pc, but with Linux i just cant get it i can't connect to the net man heeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllpppppppppp,
please tell me what should i do to configre modem, the modem works well with windows xp

Which distribution of Linux are you using and which kernel version?

If you happen to be using RedHat, try these....
