Hi,

I inadvertently reformatted my IBM 770 Think pad and lost my autoexec.bat and config.sys files. I would appreciate it if some one could help me gain access to my CDROM drive. In addition, I have a MSDN subscription and want to install a different operating system.

Sincerely,

Bob

Welcome :)

Have you tried booting from the CD?

If you just need a boot disk to let you use your CD-ROM to install the OS then download & run this file
http://files.frashii.com/~bootdisk/file111/boot98sc.exe
When run it will prompt you for a floppy disk to create a startup disk.

Alternatively
This will give you the instruction to add the files to let your CD-ROM run in DOS.
