Hi guys,

I'm trying to set up a multi-user FTP site in IIS (win2000 advanced server) where different users log-in and are either automatically placed in their own folder, or can see their folder from the FTP root.

I've created virtual folders with the correct permissions for everyone, but I can only get them to either be hidden, or (by created empty folders in the ftproot with the same name as virtual folders) have all the folders displaying.

Is there any way to give users "home directories", or to hide folders to certain users?

Thanks

Andrew

Take a look at this and see if this helps any.

Miscrosoft TechNet: Customizing the FTP Service (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/prodtechnol/iis/maintain/optimize/custom.asp)

Nope, can't find anything like that in the MS TechNet site

Guess the IIS ftp server doesn't have features like that?

Andrew, I'm reading up on it on my W2000 server (not adv. server) and am thinking it must be possible. However it's 1:47 am, football's finished for the night and I'm going to sleep. I'll keep reading in the morning and keep you posted if I find anything.
