still ca,nt get prompt iam going to hook up the way you suggested MURF.have you or anyone got any more ideas wile i,m at it.start up page does reconise hd +roms.just keep getting invalid system disc.hd is maxtor 40g mb is pc partner.have tried default bios + setup settings but nothing.in settings the hd is on auto settings.all i have is 40g hd new nothing on it not formatted cdrom cdrw.
