Free Calendar Software

Hi there,
I am wondering if anyone knows any good Free Calendar Software? We currently have Corel Wordperfect suite 2000 with the Corel Central Calendar, but we are going to be upgrading to Wordperfect Office 12 and well the Calendar option is not available and we are looking for one that is simlar is use to the Corel Central one. We would like it to be able to scedule alarms and have things pop up on your desktop when you are suppose to be in a meeting and stuff...... We dont use Microsoft Outlook as email, so I thought it might be confusing for people to use that for their Calendar and our proprietary one for their email? Let me know if anyone has any suggestions!
