dos command

any body is there to help me to give the command in dos to change or rename a file to current date. eg: dummy.txt should be changed as 05/03/2002

ren dummy.txt 05-03-2002.txt
(Note! 05/02/2002 is not a valid filename)

Is this what you wanted or did you want an automatic renaming instead of manual?

You do this with creating a batch or a vbscript file.
