How do I start and run the system file checker in Win2000 and make it repair corrupted files?

This should do it.
"System File Checker Usage and Syntax" (http://windows.about.com/library/weekly/aa000723b.htm)

One last item. I don't have the Win2000 CD. Can I use a WinMe disk or should I get a Win2000 disk and where can I get one?

I wouldn't use the WinME disk, and you can get Win2000 at anyone of the major software retailers, (BestBuy, Office Depot, Circuit City, . . . Microsoft) or you could purchase it online at a number of different sites. The choice is yours.
How did you get Win2000 on your machine without a copy of the CD?
