I am running windows 2000 on a Compaq Deskpro with a 1 gig processor and 256 mb RAM. I am not sure about the make of the sound card. My problem is whenever I attempt to play audio files (mp3, wav etc.) they play too fast (sounds like the chipmunks). I can play regular CDs (cda files) with no problem but all others run too quickly. There are three identical systems in my office and all three do the same thing. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Hi Evenrude,

It's an issue with Windows2000 and the sound card your using. New drivers
will fix it. Go to Compaq and download new drivers (http://www.compaq.com/support/files/deskpro/us/).
