Hi! I have a mac performa 5200cd that I use for my kids. It has a macOS 7.6 system software and total memory of 49,152K w/ 46,203K of unused block. I recently reinitializes the hard drive hoping to clean out the old files and have it run better for the kids programs. Since then I have had a hard time booting it up. I got it started by holding down the shift key to turn off ext. When I run the disk doc it saye there is a problem w/ the HD, but it won't let me repair it. So... 1) How do I turn the ext back on? 2) How do I get the disk doc to repair HD? Thank You

hmmm OS7... it's been a while.

Simply rebootign without the shift key depressed should turn all the extensions back on.

If Norton Disk Doctor reports the disk as unrepairable it is just that, unrepairable. Without knowing the specific problem Norton reports all I can suggest is replacing the drive.

The extensions may have been set to all off in extensions manager, in which case hold space during boot to choose the set you really want.

Could have. That seems like so long ago. I honestly don't remember clearly.
