Well Mr.::I removed this email address:: I believe in a month or two "maybe sooner",I'll be on the look out for a burner again. Now here's the catch...Two iMacs "usb" plus my bros minitower which is what"?.?" <--Forget that last part,I just found out that he installed some sort of internal "two port USB devise"..
So what it looks like, usb is going to be the ticket,or firewire.I remember that thread over at roms awhile back...What was that persons handle?
Maybe around the $300/350 range ?!? While I'm typing this..(hey who cares what hes got..the puppy is staying right here).
I guess I just need some input on models etc. My local frys/comp usa has that QUE in different driver speeds "usb/firewire" ranging from $250 to $450.Also Yamaha & HP.
With mucccch luck, I might be able to get myself a Christmas present. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif
BTW..Bandits total bill came to just short of
$2500...Talk about set back time..OUCH!

Damn Bill that pup better fetch your beer for that! http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
So ya found the email link on the page did ya? I edited your post because I don't want that address broadcast on BB's, sorry. LOL http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I think it was Juiceman over there that gave me some tips.
What I decided on was an APS drive (basically a Lacie drive with an APS case) I went SCSI though. SCSI is the fastest connection, actually. Well I'm not sure if it's faster that Firewire, but I know USB is slooooooooooooow in comparison to all others. I ended up with a 4x12x32 drive for just over $300 and I couldn't be happier with it.
If I were you I'd check out the APS website (http://www.apstech.com) . If there's nothing there that peaks your interest I'd think about the Iomega drives. They seem to be a close second although I personally have no experience with them.
