While reading the Sunday paper I noticed that Circuit City is offering an $400 discount off of an iMac with one of those 3 year subscriptions to some ISP. I thought it was interesting that that was the first time I had seen something like that for a Mac. Anymore you can get just about any piece of s*** PC for cheap as long as you're willing to pay MSN or Protegy for a few years.... but this was the first Mac deal I saw like that.

Hey there Buzz.
I was doing some experimenting around lastnight with PS.
I don't know with you've been over to TS lately but there's this guy that is starting his first website. His handle is "sluggo" and seems to be a nice fella.
Anyway back to PS. Sluggo has this one pic of his dog in water at his site which is a "might large" for his main page. So I went to his site and downloaded *his* pic and played with it in PS. Then I also reduced it down with pictureviewer to compare the difference of both programs.
WOW what a difference!!!
I'm using hotbot till they say bye-bye in "Jan." to the max. hehe
Here is Sluggo site where the original (http://pages.hotbot.com/photo/palws/Pic.html) pic is from.
Now here is what I did with pictureviewer. (http://pages.hotbot.com/photo/palws/Misc.html)
Then for the biggie...This is what I did to it with photoshop. (http://pages.hotbot.com/photo/palws/Pictures.html)
I'm posting this here cus you seem to need another post to keep cob webs away. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif
Talk to ya later.

Actually Bill, Boxtop Software (http://www.boxtopsoft.com) makes a killer plug in for Photoshop called ProJpg that will do an even better job of reducing file sizes!

uhmm... no we're keeping our fair share of the rain! Believe me!!!! http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Well the ProJpeg is just a Demo.. unless you paid the $50 for it....
But you'll be able to see how it can work. You can actually tell it the file size you're after and it will search for the best possible settings for that file size. Way cool.
