Scanner

My brother just got this scanner (http://pages.hotbot.com/photo/palws/images/scanner.jpg) . I've installed the latest apple driver for it,also the latest software from HP "which we've talked to their customer service at length". I've checked the belden usb internal port that was installed, works fine. Usb cables fine. The scanner *does* show-up in the apple system profiler. Done the usual rebuilt DT "TT1.2.1",pram. ran TTP,norton.

I'm not finished yet with this guy, although it is starting to get #*#*#!

Any ideas.

Mac G3/300 MT 256 real ram (OS 8.6)

Sorry about that. I guess you didn't see the link above. Basically its not recognizing the scanner.
We installed all that the HP tech instructed us to do,plus I've run test with above apps.

Yes and no. I installed the software from apple myself...He was supposed to install the software from HP...He said he did! But what he did was DL it to his 'puter and put it in a folder to install later when there's time.

To my knowledge its still sitting in the
folder.

Yes I think its software also.
