Hi:
Am having a constant problem trying to install Win 2000 Prof. in a newly built machine. System is Intel Celeron 2.4 ghz., 256mb ram, Fic motherboard.

When I start intalling win 2000 it works fine until the first reboot and then it starts the whole proceedure all over again. It is not the disk as I have tried others I have and run into the same pblm.

I've tried the installation many times and it keeps repeating the pblm.

Any suggestions?

Welcome :)

Have you tried removing the CD before the first Reboot?

If you still have problems then you could wipe the drive, then copy the install files over to the drive, then install from the HDD.

If you want to go that way then you will need to bootup via a Win9x Startup disk, then run Smartdrv before running the setup.
