Did anyone happen to see what happened last night with that pitcher and the batter? I heard that the pitcher threw the broken bat that the pitcher and he wasn't put out of the game.....what's up with that?

The pitcher threw the broken part of the bat at the catcher. Sorta in that direction...lol...he'd hit him with a ball earlier in the game. Anyway, he got fined..read below;

Well that's a whopper of a fine, I'll say that; I think it would be much more appropriate to be ejected or suspended. That's totally inappropriate behavior! Love the way no one wants to comment in that story! I suppose they do want to just concentrate on winning, I understand that.........wasn't intentional? Does anyone believe that? I ain't no baseball watcher, but it sure looked intentional to me when I saw the clip!

It was a whopper of a fine, and so too it should be!! However, I really didn't think the bat was actually thrown towards Piazza (sp), to me it looked like Clemens just threw the broken bat away in disgust.
