for some reason it is not creating a Ram drive. Can you tell more of your system? Like, is this a new installation, upgrading, do you have windoze installed?

okay, you say that you have two NTFS file systems on your computer. One for wondows and the other is for linux? I have yet to see linux installed on an NTFS file system. But that is just me, I use the linux native. this beond the point, because you are not able to get to the diskdrake yet.
When you get to the welcome screen, press F1. This should give you prompt at the bottom of the screen. Lets first they this. At the prompt, type "alt1" with out the quotes. This will try to load the install command though the linux kernel 2.4 and not the 2.6 that is default in M10C. See if this works, if not please report what it says. Also, if this does not work. Can you give more info about your system. Hardware inperticular. Like CPU, RAM, ect. This will alow me and other to see if there is an hardware compat. issue with linux. good luck

First of all: read this: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
Yes, it does apply to you. Second: GIYF: google is your friend. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...ll&btnG=Search Now. Learn how to specify your problem in a way that we feel like you actually did something do get the answer, let us know you tried to solve your problem. Be more clear about your problem. I do not understand what on earth you are trying to tell me. You might have a problem with your bootloader, you might just be silly, you might not know how to use certain programs bling-bling-Mandrake wants to load, so be more specific. Tell us what your computer is doing, you switched it on, choose mandrakelinux at the bootloader, it starts booting the kernel, and then what?
