Hi,
I want to format a hard drive which has a copy of Windows 95 on it and install Windows ME. any guides to do this would help me.
Oh and also I think the hard drive has an OEM version of Windows 95 on it.
cheers

If it is the full version on ME (not an update) and you are sure you have the key code you can follow these instructions for deleting everything you have on it now, partitioning, formating, and install windows:
http://www.cybertechhelp.com/html/tutorials/tutorial.php/id/36
(Note following these directions will erase all of your files, tell us if you wish to save some of your files, we can help you do that but that needs to be done before you start the process in the tutorial above)

The only difference you'll run into if you have the "upgrade" version, is that part way through the installation preparation the Windows Installer will ask to see what you're upgrading from - you'll need to put the CD with the earlier version of Windows into the drive for it to have a look at. When it's satisfied, it will carry on with the normal installation cycle.
