Internet Explorer Error!

Hello anyone willing to help.I have a problem with internet explorer at the moment and i cant seem to get into my documents or my computer as i get this message saying"this program has perfomed an illegal operation and will now close.When i go to close it,another message appears sayint"An error has occured in Internet Explorer.Internet explorer will now close.restart your computer..."when i restart and then i go to open these things again,the same messages appear.Please help..i have no idea what to do!!

First, I would suggest an Anti Virus scan and a Spyware scan.
Spybot and Adaware are popular.

Create a new folder on you hdd and name it HJT.

To do this go into My Computer and double click on your hdd then right click and select New then Folder and name it HJT.

Unzip HJT into the new folder. Launch HJT, click Scan, and click Save Log. Post the log in the Cyber Safety forum but don’t make any changes. When posting there state you have run Adaware, Spybot and a Virus scan.
