What am I doing wrong here???
I am trying to get along with fedora core 2
I down loaded xine but when I tried to install it I was not allowed because it had dependancies (3 of which I have no clue on what to do with) SO I downloaded mplayer but was not allowed to install due to some key problems Here is the return from install mplayer root@localhost john]# rpm -Uvh mplayer-1.0-0.10.pre4.1.fc2.fr.i386.rpm error: mplayer-1.0-0.10.pre4.1.fc2.fr.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: BAD, key ID e42d547b error: mplayer-1.0-0.10.pre4.1.fc2.fr.i386.rpm cannot be installed >[root@localhost john]# Any help would be appreciatted

well.. i'm definately no expert.... not even a beginner.. but just a guess... does mplayer come with a CD-KEY or some kind of ID KEY that's used to install it? it looks like the key: e42d547b is being used and is incorrect.

You may be right but I thought I got away from all the access codes and keys when I left windows , maybe not!! I have found no mention of keys, reg or otherwise, in my primmer reading or in the man documents so far read.

It seems like there is a GNU public key that I need to get then import on to my machine before I am allowed to install new programmes from fresh rpms. Not really sure what I am talking about as I am taking advise from someone else right now.
