Question boot problems

Windows 2000 on an IBM laptop. I've been getting check disk msg for quite a while when I restart computer. So, I decided to run the repair disk on it, but now I get an error that tells me my C: drive is corrupt , it cannot be repaired. What can I do? Thanks

Sounds like you need a new HDD.

Goto the HDD Manufacturers site and see if they have any disk tools that with inspect the drive for errors.

shouldn't be, it's only 3 yrs. old and has been stationary for 98% of it's life and taken care of. Do you think it could've been a virus? Would a boot disk work?

Depends what you want to do with the boot disk.

I would still recommend the manufacturers disk tools if available.
