Welcome :)

When you download one of those files to your PC you then have to run it so that it will create the Startup Disk.

what does your bios say about your harddrive. Did you receive any error messages right before the problem started? Did the computer seemed slow or hotter than normal?

im not that good with computers...whats a bios and how do you get it to say somthing abt the hard drive? i dont remember if there was any error message or if it was hot. the problem started a long time ago and i gave up on it until now.

as soon as you turn on the computer, it should say to press a certain key to enter setup. Immediately press whatever key it says.

All you need to do is see if it is recognizing your harddrive, it will give the harddrive size and other info about it. I do not know your bios so that is the best I can do.
