I found this (http://news.com.com/Yahoo+to+launch+100MB+free+e-mail/2100-1023_3-5233594.html?tag=nefd.top) article about yahoo email accounts and their free accounts are now 100 megs and paid accounts are 2 gigs.
I just went to check my paid account and it's now 2 gigs. Competition is now heating up with gmail. I wonder who will win in the end. Any comments...

Mine still has the 4 mb's of space available. Within a matter of two or three days I can accumulate anything up to 200 spam mails, I don't see the point in offering such a large ammount of space, they'd do better to concentrate more on cutting out as much spam as possible. :(

I'm glad someone started this, so I didn't have to. I came into work to find a 2 gig mailbox and then I remember someone posted a thread about them spying on us if we had such a big box. I was content with my 25mg mail box. So what's the deal with this now are they spying on us??????

But i am sure the number of eyes upon net users will increase, i am terrified. and told my old mama to becareful sending me emails  . How can i make her understand the hole thing. Im sure yahoo is trustable, but can anyone garantee the unleak of our personal info?. It is just like when first making of chemical weapons, no one knew details. but now every avg income person can make a lab at home. who is mistake is this.......
Becareful all, and happy yahoo!.......

Renegade, are you able to access your Yahoo mail, via browser? My comes into outlook verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry slow and I can't access it via browser here at work.I can access it both ways without a problem. I usually just look at it via mailwasher, delete problem emails before downloading to outlook. With the new changes, there may be some bugs in the system. I had problems logging on with the browser when I first found out about the changes and wanted to check it out. It took a few tries before finally getting the page. It seems to be okay now.

I am not sure what changes yahoo will make as the result of the bigger mailboxes. For the time being, I think their current policy remains but I think rereading their email tos may be something that needs to be done.
The spying that was refered to was with googles gmail. They will be scanning your emails and placing ads in them based on the subject of them. Not sure if that is a good idea. Also not sure if the larger boxes are a good idea but time will tell.

I work between two buildings and neither of my computers could log into it, one is set to dump temp files every day. Now at home I can get it via outlook, but not thru the browser and my messenger won't log me in. I'm soooooo glad that they've improved my service...I've been waiting for this for along time. Can't access email and login to messenger...geez, what am I paying for?

I wonder if it is a sbc problem if it is on several computers?

My son can't log into his messenger either and he's just plain old Yahoo non paying. They must have some 'bugs' to work. I'm glad to know that it's not just our software at work that has 'bugs'

looks like your problem could have been the dos attack mentioned in this (http://news.com.com/Blackout+hits+major+Web+sites/2100-1038_3-5234500.html?tag=nefd.lede) article.

It seems that with the numerous upgrades that yahoo has been doing their servers are slowed downt to almost a crawl
