Hi Welcome to CTH

Since you obviously have another system. Go to your ISP and they should have posted the configuration of Dial-Up. Appears to just be a configuration problem and most DNS errors are that.

If you go to properties of Dial-Up what protocals do you have installed? If your using a different computer to connect throught the same ISP look at those settings to compare.

Thanks for the greeting.
I have tried everything, reinstalling all my drivers to do with the internet and I have checked all the configs with my ISP, they are right. It was when I uninstalled my Dial-up adapter driver and then Installed it again, that is when the problem started to happen. I have tried everything, it maybe a corrupted/deleted file or something? I am on Win98SE with directx8, if that is any help.

Try:

START | RUN

Type in

SFC (<enter>)

Check for altered files, follow the screen prompts. You will need the Windows 98 CD, unless the contents of the cd are on the hard drive in backup, then point it to there when asked.

Tryed that, didn't do much, shall I just reformat my computer? I have tried everything else.
