Played in my pool league tonite. Won 3 out of 3 games. :D I even beat Barbara. She's the lady who owns the bar that sponsors my team. I'm on her team #2. We played her team #1 and kicked their butts. Whoopee......

Back in the UK I used to play pool a lot, played in the town league for my local Pub. As a team, we never did that great, but for two years I won trophies for getting the most wins in the league, through the season. :)

Actually our team started out slow this season, but seems to be improving. We won tonite by a landslide. One of our female players has a broken arm and is shooting one handed. She is great. I sure couldn't do it. :) I haven't played on a league in 3 or 4 years and am out of practice, but I'm getting back in the swing of things. (Of course the Cuba Libra's help.)

Never heard of a pool league unless it was a swimming league. I guess you watch all those pool tournaments on espn :eek:

I do sometimes watch the tournaments on ESPN. :D They are mostly 9 ball though. We play 8 ball. League rules. Ball in hand and all that. We play once a week at various bars around town. 5 players to a team. 3 guys and 2 girls. Each person plays 3 games per night.

I'm a semi-regular at Rileys (American) Pool halls near me.
American, really meaning 9 or 15 ball instead of the Reds & Yellows that the UK has :D

Interesting way of doing it. If they had leagues around here my cue case would not have 10 years worth of dust on it.
