internet sharing on M10

I want to share my internet connection though my linux. So far, I have no clue. I have used the wizard that mandrake 10 has and it has not worked. I have disabled drakefirewall, and I can monitor the two connections and I can see that the other computer is sending info out, but my linux is not sending anything back. I have no clue where so start to resolve this issue.

also, the internet connection is DSL though a rj45 cable, on it's own nic. And the other computer is on a separate nic. Both nics are the exact make and model. using the tulip module.

help PLEASE!!!

I fixed that issue, why this time it worked, I do not know. But I have done the following tweenty times to resolve the issue and it now works.

I removed eth0: that is my lan and reconfigured eth1: that is my DSL. Ran the config tool and now it is working.

One thing though, I want to be able to share files back and forth from the Linux box and the windoz machine. How do I do that? I enabled file sharing (I think) and I can see my box on smb4K. I can also see the windowz machine on it. But I can not see the networked computer though the local. I have only done this oncebefore and it worked with out a hitch. Now I have no clue where to start again!
