Norton Internet Security 2002

My internet is running very slow. When I called Road Runner they said it was an issue with Norton Internet Securtiy but they didn't tell me how to fix it. I disabled it and it works fine but i don't feel comfortable with it disabled. Any ideas what's wrong with the program?

Did they give any info about what the conflict is?

I called back they said Norton slows down sometimes when it is trying to filter. They suggested uninstall and reinstall or buy the Norton update.....seems curious that we've had no issues using it for a year and a half or so, but based on testing it appears to definitely be Norton..

Do a check with "Adaware" and see what it cleans out.You could also do the same with "SpyBot S&D" and fix all that it finds as well.
