Error in kernal32.dll

Guys
this thing has made me mad my friends pc when i click the internet explorer icon on desktop it will say that iexplorer caused an error in kernal32.dll so needs to close if the problem presists then restart the computer,
even if the computer is restarted the thing still there,
similarly i when i tried to uninstall a program then a message popped up saying something similar to that above but the file name was differnt but error was in kernal32.dll itself
Please help me to solve this thing!
Thanx

Try a virus scan, or reinstall Millenium. I have a problem with my laptop and it keeps saying RUNdll has caused an error. Try Spybot S&D or hijackthis. That's all I could do.
