Audio problem with email notifier. Help.

Hi everyone hope someone can help me with this.
My audio email notifier only works when I test it.
How can I get it to notify incoming emails to where I can hear.
Hope this makes sense.
Appreciate any help with this problem.

Which mail system are you using?

When I had to reformat my hard drive and had to reinstall Netscape 2 times, it started the audio alert only on the second time. It had never worked for me in the previous years, did not work on the first install, but for some reason it just started by itself on the second install.

But if you are using Netscape you could also make sure your settings indicate you want a sound to play when you receive an email. I always had it set to that, but for some reason, it never worked until that 2nd install.

To check your settings go to Edit>Preferences>Mail & Newsgroups>Notifications and then make sure that "Play a Sound" is checked.
