Uninstalling Norton Anti-Virus

Hi Everyone :wave:


This is my first post on the forum, so I'm hoping this is the right place for my question.

I have Norton Anti-Virus 2003. My ISP is offering a virus protection and a firewall. I would like to download it and use it. The problem is when I uninstall Norton (using Add/Remove) and restart my computer my desktop settings return to 800x600 and I lose my broadband connection. Is it something with the Live Update feature?

I've searched the Symantec website, but all I find are instructions on how to uninstall Norton. I'm not finding any answers to my questions.

Welcome :)

First, disable norton av and any firewall that you have.

Then remove norton with the RNAV tool.

If your desktop again returns to 800x600 then goto Display Properties and see if you can set it back to your chosen size.

I was able to uninstall Norton using the RNAV tool and my desktop stayed the same when I rebooted :)
