Ok, my computer is connected to the internet through a hub, and as far as i know by reading other computer help sites, theres an automatic proxy already that my computer is using. First of all i still dont know what a proxy is, and secondly how do u find the HTTP path, and the port its using. I first encountered this problem when i tried to run netscape radio, and it said i need to sepcify the firewall/proxy settings because it couldnt detect an internet connection, then there was a space to put the HTTP proxy and the port. I really need some help, thanks!

welcome to CTH ;)

A couple of questions - what kind of connection is it? Office LAN, DSL/Cable etc, and secondly is it a hub or is it in fact a router?

The connection is cable, and im not to sure weather its a hub or a router, but after looking up the web definitions of each i am almost positive its a hub.
