cannot connect

Hi
I have been having a problem connecting to my forum since Saterday which I used to go on everyday.
I now keep getting a " Page cannot be displayed " error, Also any site with that server I can't access.
I went to a naighbours comp. and have no problem logging in thier.
I'm using a cable connection to the net.

Since Saterday I have, messed with settings, coockies, Formatted my hard drive 5 times each time trying either windows 98 or windows home ( Tried logging in before anything else ), tried explorer 4, explorer 6, downloaded and tried other browsers,

and nothing seems to work.

Can someone please help or have any other ideas because I ran out of them.

Thanks.

Welcome

Are you and your neighbour on the same ISP?

What is the site address?

Can you reach it via
http://www.anonymizer.com/index.cgi
or
http://www.anonymization.net/

Thanks for you reply degsy

The sites above did not help

By ISP if you mean if we use the same provider, Yes we do

The forum is http://bobocop.shadowforgegames.net/board my website also uses the same server, Also some of my members have sites under that server and I can't connect to any of them since Saturday.

This is really annoying I have spent almost 4 days now trying to figure this out, I even tried a used hard drive that I had, formated it and installed windows with the internet connection cable off ( So I wouldn't get infected while installing windows ) and still nothing.

I called rogers (My internet provider) and there is no problem with the connection, They say they don't block websites.

OK I went back and I got in through your second link degsy Thanks, My sweat is starting to slow down now
Do I need to use this browser all the time now or is there a cure for explorer.

If it works via the Proxy Server then it would seem to be a problem with your ISP.

In XP open a Command Prompt and type

ipconfig /flushdns
press enter

Try the URL in IE.

If it doesn't work then in the command prompt type
ipconfig /registerdns
press enter

This is what I did ( Again ) since my last post, I fdisk, deleted dos portition, created a new dos portition, formatted my hard drive, Installed windows 98, That didn't work So I installed windows xp home and thats what I'm on now, the first thing I did after widows installed was try to link to that site through explorer, then I tried it through here http://www.anonymization.net ( which I got in ounce yesterday) and now it gives me a blank page ( For about 1 second)
with the words "Forbidden"

I'm far from knowing much about computers, But it almost seems that my internet connection has an identity code that.... that server knows when this computer wants to log in and all of a sudden since Saturday will not except,
Like I said earlier my niaghbour uses the same internet provider (Rogers) and also has windows xp, and I have no problem logging in there.

Or could it be something inbedded in my motherboard

Ok, I found the problem.

Thanks for your replies to my problem I appriciate it.

For some reason that server started rejecting my ip address, So I changed it and I can log in now.

I don't know if there's another way, But I called rogers and they told me that my ip address is in my internet connection card, 4 numbers,
They said I have to contact that server, give them that number and ask why I'm getting blocked, So I did, But while I'm waiting for a reply (Which could take forever) I had a used card from an old computer, I installed it on this one plugged it in and it works.

If anyone knows of a different way please let me know, because if this happens again I really don't want to by another card

It seems to be a problem at their end with their registration & configuration.
