View Full Version : HELP: *** is wrong with my microsoft words?!!

Everytime I open Microsoft Words or a document w/ Words, the CPU USAGE shoots up to 100% and it just loads forever. Then ill have to ctrl+alt+del to end process winword.exe. Is there anyway i can stop this, im working on a project and its due soon. http://www.gods-united.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif

In My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View tab, make sure "Show hidden files and folders is checked."
Then Start>Search, type in "normal.dot" (without the quotes), tell it to search. Delete all instances of normal.dot it finds.
See if Word will then open.

IF the files Miz told you to delete do NOT solve the problem, run a virus scan. How much RAM does your computer have and how fast is it, (in GHz or MHz).
