open pics

How do you change the program already selected to open pics ? When I receive emails with pic attachments, when I try to open them, it tries to open them with Microsoft Word, automatically, then I obviously can't view the pic. Is there a way to change this setting ? Thank you.

You can right-click an image and choose Open With, then choose the program from the list or browse for it.

You can goto Control Panel>Folder Options>File Types>
find the file type and change the program from there.


Or, you could open the program that you want to open the program in and goto the Preferences/Options to see if there is a File Association section.

Thank you for the reply. I tried method 1-2-3 and I got it going with method number 3. I went to preference/options and clicked on JPEG in HP Photo Imaging and it worked. Now I can open my pics that I receive through email without having Microsoft word opening up...ThaNKS..
