Hola folks, can someone help me out here, for some strange reason whenever I type in an unknown URL (404) or mistype an address l get redirected to some stupid msn search page:

http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?s...fsdafasdf.com/

I want my old school "page can not be displayed" error message back.. please help me fix this, also; can anyone tell me how this happened? It's been doing this for the last few days.

I don't think there is much you can do about this.

It didn't used to do this to me... There's got to be a way to convert it back to the way it was.

I would have thought that Do Not Search From The Address Bar option would be better than disabling extensions.

Also turn off the Show Friendly Error Pages option.

Hello,

This is a problem for me. Maybe I'm grasping at straws replying to a four-year old message, but Googling directions on how to turn this sort of thing off was tough enough.

For me, instead of MSN it's a Suddenlink search page. It's not harmful really, but it's driving me nuts because I can't turn it off. I've tried the suggestions on this page, to no avail. It happens with IE, FireFox and Chrome.

Our provider is suddenlink, but this sort of "we know better than you" crap is tempting me to dump them.

Thanks in advance for the help.
