Is there any other browser available to use that is reliable and works on all web sites? I'd like to try something that doesn't have all the security flaws that IE has. Last time I tried Netscape, it was a pain. Has things changed with NS? How about Mozilla?

I am going with opera but there are some problems with it that I hope will work itself out as I gain experience.
As far as mozilla, use it instead of netscape. It is the same but without the aol junk.
I do not think anything will work as well as msie inspite of the security problems because it overlooks alot of coding errors in the pages unlike netscape which is more standard.

A lot of folks are raving over the Mozilla Firefox browser, I use it sometimes, but to be honest I prefer IE, even if it has security issues. I use the Avant Browser through IE, that's my favourite. :)

I too still prefer IE.
If you have decent system protection and updates then it should be fine.
btw, you need decent protection & updates whatever browser you are using.
Remember that some browsers use the same engine as IE, but use a different shell.
Meaning that it may look different, but uses the same files.
If you want away from IE then I would recommend Firefox.

If you get Firefox you can get the User Agent switcher and set it for I.E. 6.0. It seems to help somewhat on sites Firefox has problems with that I.E. doesn't. I've been using Firefox for about 2 weeks now with no problems. It's stable works on 99.99% of the websites I visit, Windows Update so far is the only excpection, and haven't had a hit from Adaware or Spybot or SpywareGuard or SpywareBlaster since I've been using Firefox. I did use I.E. today to get yet another critical update for Internet Explorer.

Thanks for the suggestions. Should I go with Mozilla 1.7? Or, go with Firefox? They seem to be different.

What's nice about Firefox is how you can customize it the way you want it. I have noticed a major complaint with it is not being able to use online banking but that's a quick fix if you use Sun's java. MS java won't work on Firefox. If you miss some of the buttons on the toolbar like you use to have on I.E. just click on View on the Firefox toolbar then click on Toolbars>customize then drag whatever button you want directly onto the toolbar like mail, print, etc.
