New Critical Update

While installing a new critical update "ADODB.stream (KB870669)" for Windows ME, my startup monitor came on and said that the update was trying to instruct the following to run at startup. Is this okay or not? I am very careful about what goes into my startups and have never had a Windows Update try to do anything like this before.

rundll32.exeC:\\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\advpack.dll.DelNode RunDLL32"C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\IXP000.TMP\"

I said no to the request, but was wondering if I need to run the install again and let it enter my startup list if it's crucial to do so?

I would allow it for MS Updates.
It is probably an instruction to delete the temporary files used in the setup.
