Unsafe Attachment

I can not open outlook express attachments. SOme of the attachments have eml extensions. I get the message"OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail. "

I installed all the up dates with the same result. I am also using Win98

I do not use oe but there should be a setting as to whether or not to open attachments under tools or preferences.

There is such a setting. But like Renegade I don't use OE. IIRC it's under Tools > Options then the Security tab.

You can turn this off, as OE doesn't do a great job of unsafe attachment handling. However by doing this, you must make sure you have a good and fully up2date antivirus scanner
