Can't sign into Steam Network

Well ever since I got my home network I can't play counter-strike on the pc with the PCI card. I can log into my account then I try to install counter-strike and it says my steam ticket has expired, and prompts me to log in again and keeps doing this. I am logged off steam on the pc with the router. Do I have to forward ports for this to work. Please help.
