Question Modem

Hi all,
I am running ALT Linux Junior 2.2, I am wondering how do I find out information on what modem I have ?
I am looking for:what kind it is, the driver, what company.
Just like you would on Windows under device manager, how do I do this on Linux?
If you say anything about "open up a browser" or type this in command line, please be really specific on what that means, I mean if you have to,draw a picture...lol I just get really really lost when it comes to stuff like this on Linux.
I know it's an external modem and it has on top Cen Dyne.

Thank you so much for your help on this.

Kenny

Hi,

My daughter has taught me that I am not supposed to post again on here cause this is called "double posting" and I think she means it's not polite but I could really use this information if anybody could help me on this.

Thanks,

Kenny
