128mb of ram goes missing

HI, i have a Athlon 1.33ghz, 256mb ram, gefore 4 440 (cant remeber rest)

ive doubled the ram up to 512 and had no problems with it for about a year but about 1 week ago ive noticed i have lost 128mb some where... on boot up and in system properties i have 384 please help if u can ;/

Hi greebo,

It sounds like one of your RAM sticks is going flakey on you. I'd try swapping out the sticks, one at a time, to see if each one is detected as 256. If not, you might want to replace the stick that is not detected as 256.
