Hey everyone! I have a question for you networking gurus :) I have a wired router connected to our cable modem with 2 computers connected to it. I then have a wireless router connected to it. Both are setup with DHCP.

I have a webserver as one of the computers on the first (wired) router, and I would like to know if it possible to access it from one of the computers using the second (wireless) router.

Thanks for any help!!

:)

The best thing you can do it turn OFF DHCP on the second router. You only want (need) one DHCP server on a network and having two can cause problems with IP address allocation. Also you want to make sure they are connected via the "uplink" port on one of the two routers to a normal port on the other router. See my posts in this thread (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41992) about setting up two routers to work together

Well, that was how I had set it up at first, but it didnt seem to wprk, so a friend told us to turn DHCP on, and then it seemed to work. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have been thinking about this, and even if I turn DHCP off, and change the IP to something like 192.169.0.99, wouldn't I still not be able to access a computer that is connected to the first (wired) router? Thanks! :)
