Help messed up 95 mcAfee-safestart

Hello, I had taken my work computer home W95 , when I got there I accidentaly downloaded the McAfee Virus program for XP on it, then I tried to remove-erase it after my Windows would only start in "Safe Mode" It starts in safe mode fine but I dont know how to troubleshoot what the problem is. I was working on this a few months back and gave up but now I need to use the machine.
It looks like I have some other downloaded McAfee files I have tried to erase-delete -remove one by one but not sure what to do from here.
Any ideas.??

and it's a good idea to have a current backup of your registry before installing or removing any programs or deleting files.
