Hey Warrior
firstly, a little more information could be good. if you have red hat on a cd, you should be able to boot straight off the cd to install (if you cant, then roll with Mandrake instead). that does away with the need for a bootdisk. if you still want to use a bootdisk, and have red hat on the hard disk, you can boot up from the floppy and specify the path of the red hat .iso or directory, and away you go. once installed, you will need to configure the boot loader to allow dual booting of windows xp and red hat. depending on which version you have this should be easy as pie. good luck with it, i'm new to linux too, i went with mandrake for user friendliness and it seems great for me. |
