is there anything i can do if someone threatens to hack me ?

There is not much you can do until it actually happens. Maybe you can file a complaint with the computer crimes unit in your area but there is nothing they can do, but you will have it on file.

Just make sure your firewall is working properly. you can test your computers security using pcflank.

If they know what they're doing and you don't, just unplug the PC from the Internet. Works every time. :)

Meanwhile, after you're firewalled, go here to run Shields Up (https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2). It'll tell you what ports are available to your friend....and how to close them.

Just have a good firewall and hope for the best......lol, but its pretty hard to actually hack into someones computer I think. And like they said see what ports are open and what applications run on them. If you know the person that threated you break into his house and smash his computer with a baseball bat.http://cybertechhelp.com/forums/images/smilies/michaelangelo.gif
