bios\setup password...

i am trying to get in to a used computer which i picked up....i dont know the operating system (i presume windows of some sort)but it detects the cd rom then hangs the only button that works is delete and it takes me to bios\setup password screen....i dont know the password!how would a person get around this???????.......jb

Howdy:

Open the case and remove the CMOS battery for a couple of minutes.. Replace it now try to boot..

BTW, if the system is very old at all, consider picking up a new battery when you remove the old one..
