Flash Website help

this is my first flash site i've done. and i'm a noob to flash. but i am making the layout right now, and i want to know how to make text come up without having to load a new page. or having text imported from a different file. like... index?id=main.htm uses index.php for the layout, and main.htm text as the input for a certain area. makes sense? probably not for i am a bad at explaining things. :dizzy: but anyhoo, what i want to do is make a link in flash, when clicked loads text in the center of the flash page. but if possible i wanted to make a link, when clicked loads text from another file into a certain area, so i would avoid having to update the flash file constantly. sorry if none of this makes sense.

i think i get what youre saying...
you want flash to grab text from an external source so you dont have to keep editing the .fla?

if that is your question, youre going to need to make an .xml file with the text in it and make a dynamic text box, and tell flash to grab the text from that source (i think) then all you have to do is update the xml file with your ftp program or whatever....
