Hi all

I have a Speedtouch 510 ADSL router. Recently I installed Apache on another computer I have, and connected it to the router. I can see the web pages on this other computer from the browser on my desktop machine. And I can browse the web from the new computer, so it seems that all is working OK there.

However I have run into a problem configuring the router to allow NAT so that the server can be accessed from outside.

This is what I've done.
In the speedtouch GUI interface, I've made the following entries in the NAPT page:-
Protocol TCP
Inside address 10.0.0.3 port 80
Outside address 0.0.0.0 port 80

I've saved and restarted the router. Checked my new public IP address and entered this into the browser of another computer remote from home. But I get nothing! What else should I do? BF

I don't know the answer, but would guess that you need to make the "outside address" your public IP address because this is the one address your router needs to announce to the outside world.

I Hope this works for you.

Thanks Zippy, it's a DHCP IP and this is the address they say to use. However since my last post I've tried to remove the NAT entry, without any luck, even went as far as hitting "restore defaults". So I've contacted the manufacturers by e-mail, I think my router is faulty??? BF
