Ok Linux on other pc
Ok heres my question, I have a pc a compaq, it has 64 sdr ram, amd duron 500-850 mhz, 15 gigabyte hard drive. Then my other pc has amd athlov xp 3200 2.2 ghz, 512 ddr sdr ram, 160 gigabyte hd, dvd cdrw, and cd rom drive.
Ok now can i download linux on my good pc the 3200, and put on to my old pc? |

Most common mistake - did you happen to just burn the ISO file to CD? You need to create a CD from the ISO image file. What CD burning software are you using?

Bigfatdude....You need to burn a cd from image. Use your burning software read the help doc that comes with it I am sure it will tell you how to "burn cd from image", its as simple as looking on the toolbar selecting "new" and "burn cd from image" sometimes. Also note the speed that you burn said image at. You will have the best luck burning your ISO's at the slowest speed your burner will support. Good luck and remember.....its just live and no one will make it out alive.

Problems with mandrake
Yeah i had many with Mandarke so far! The main problem is it's really slow, so im gonna try install Redhat and see if that works! If not i will post back later.
