Hello,moderators and members
I was recently diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer(4/04).I was operated on 7/13/04(8:30am) and i went home 7/14/04(2:30am)
the medical procedure to remove the cancerous prostate is called
Laparascopic Robotic Radical Prostatectomy(robotic assisted surgery)
I feel like i didnt have surgery at all,no pain ,no crying, nothing,i do have to take easy for awhile,i can walk, climb stairs,go outside not a huge workout, but big enough for me.I am posting this info to let others know about
this Robotic surgrey procedure. Its a very stressful time for the man and mate
I went thru hell, but with the support of family, friends(CTH helped pass the time for me) hell wasnt all that hot. There is over 25,000 CTH members out there and if this can ease the stress for one member, all is well.I would recommend this procedure to anyone who is a candidate.I like to Thank the moderators for allowing me to post this info.Check this link.these are the two doctors who preform the operation on me at this hospital, thanks all

Sho-Dan, thats a fascinating story. Hope everything continues to go well with the recovery.

A good friend of mine went through the "old" method of this some years back when he was in his early 50's. Sounds like he had a much rougher time of it than you did.

I'll be telling all the "lads" about your experience. Forewarned is forearmed and all that.
